People often ask me what SETTRA actually does. The honest answer is that when I do it well, nobody notices.
The villa is ready before the family lands. The pool has been checked, the fridge holds what the children like, and the contractor who was due on Tuesday came on Tuesday. A dinner for twelve happens without anyone at the table wondering who arranged the flowers. None of it is dramatic, and that's the point.
What I learned before SETTRA
I spent more than eight years in luxury hospitality, including at Bulgari Hotel Dubai, and then moved into running a private residence here. In both places, the people I served valued the same thing above everything else. It wasn't speed, and it wasn't spectacle. It was knowing that what happened in their home stayed there.
In Dubai, almost anything can be bought: a view, a car, a table at the right restaurant. What's much harder to find is someone you can hand your keys to without a second thought. That's why I believe discretion is the real luxury. It can't be bought. It's earned slowly, through trust.
What it looks like in practice
For me, discretion isn't a line in a brochure. It shapes the everyday work:
- An NDA is standard for every client, not an add-on.
- I never name the families I work with, and I never use their homes, events or stories to promote SETTRA.
- Every partner who enters a residence on my behalf is licensed, chosen carefully and briefed personally.
- Information goes only to the people who need it, and only when they need it.
- I don't post the dinners, the interiors or the arrivals. My clients' lives aren't content.
None of this is unusual to say. Living by it every day, without exception, is what's rare.
Being unseen is part of the service
Good lifestyle management is mostly invisible. When a client opens the door after a summer away, they shouldn't think about the dozen small things that were handled while they were gone. They should simply feel at home.
Relocation works the same way. Schools, paperwork, staff and the move itself are complicated, and my job is to take that complexity on, so the family can arrive and start living instead of managing.
Why it matters
Many of the people I work with live partly in public. Their names may be known, and their businesses may be watched. Home is where that stops. When someone trusts me with their home, they're trusting me with the most private part of their life, and that trust is what SETTRA is built on.
I've always measured the work by one simple standard. If a client never has to think about me, and never has to wonder whether I'll speak about them, I've done my job.
Luxury is often loud. The kind I believe in is quiet.
